Parrot Sequoia
The Parrot Sequoia multi-spectral sensor is a powerful yet affordable option in the world of NDVI mapping. The small action camera sized sensor weighs 107gms, this sensor fits to most drones including DJI drones. With the Sequoia, aerial monitoring from above is a breeze. Easily process NDVI data with Atlas by Micasense or PIX4D. Coupled with your favourite drone and data processing program, you will be gathering powerful data. The Sequoia solution features two sensors. Because of this, the multispectral sensor faces downwards and captures light that plants reflect in four separate bands. These bands are: green and red plus two infrared bands. These are invisible to the human eye.
The sunlight sensor is mounted on top of the drone. The intensity of light from the sun is recorded in these four same bands. Because of this, data is accurate even if clouds come over halfway during the flight. Rather than having incorrect data, the sunlight sensor simply re-calibrates the images.
Precision agriculture technology for crop monitoring is now at your fingertips.
